Alla Leukavets graduated from the Belarusian State Economics University with a degree in Jurisprudence in 2008. Thereafter she pursued MA in Human Rights at the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), as well as MA in International Relations at the College of Europe (Belgium). In 2013-17 Alla did her PhD in Political Science at the University of Bremen/Jacobs University (Germany).
Alla completed several traineeships, inter alia, at the UK Parliament, the European Parliament, and a number of non-governmental organizations.
She speaks English, German, French and Serbo-Croatian.
Alla Leukavets has published in, among other outlets, Ibidem Verlag, Caucasus Survey, Belarus Digest, Russian Analytical Digest.
Alla specializes in domestic and foreign policy of Belarus and other Eastern Partnership countries, the process of Eurasian integration, and energy relations between Russia and the European Union. In addition, the area of her research interests includes elections in non-democratic regimes, theories of regime change and democratisation.
